Friday, November 7, 2025 Westside High School Oceana Middle School Berlin McKinney Elementary Bus 244, Melissa will not be running this afternoon. Bus 200 will be bringing Bus 244 High School Students to the Church. Meet the bus at 3:05pm. Bus 186 will be bringing the Elementary and Middle School Students home. Bus will leave the school around 4:25pm.

The Westside Beta Club just returned as winners in 54 categories at the West Virginia State Beta Convention! These incredible Renegades will now advance to compete at the National Beta Convention in Nashville, Tennessee this June! Congratulations, Renegades — we are so proud of you! 🖤🤍

Tuesday, October 28, 2025 Westside High School Bus 252, Terena will not be making the High School Run. Students need to meet Bus 214 Sarah at Godfrey’s Corner at 6:30.

Westside High School’s Beta Club sponsored a Mental Health Awareness week that started today! Today, we wore green and “moved” by walking a lap around the school to show that we care about mental health awareness in our community.  🖤🩶 #renegadescare

Science classes at Westside were working hard on science concepts with the use of complex text. Students in forensics, anatomy, and AP biology used a variety of texts including the textbook, videos, diagrams, and charts in both physical and electronic forms to complete investigations of fibers, the human birth cycle, and gene regulation. Biology classes discussing and working through purposes and functions of the four macromolecules. Earth Science students discussing different types of rock formations & famous examples of each examples.

Tuesday, October 14, 2025 Westside High School GlenFork Elementary and Middle School Bus 240 will not be running tomorrow AM or PM Runs Bus 212 will be doubling the High School AM Run. Bus 212 will also double for GlenFork Elementary and Middle School. The Bus will be 30 minutes late for the morning run. PM Run: Bus 212 will be bringing High School and Elementary and Middle School Students home. Elementary and Middle School Students may be up to 30 minutes late.

Westside High School: Bus 182 Greg will be bring High School home. Milk Creek High School will be around 10 minutes late. Baileysville Elementary and Middle: Bus 182 will be 10-15 minutes late on the Elementary and Middle School Run for Mill Creek.

Westside GEAR UP SWV 9th graders visited the 2025 Wyoming County Schools Vittles Market on Friday.  During their visit, they were able to explore careers and opportunities specific to WV and Wyoming County related to agriculture.  A great time was had by all! #GEARUPSWV

Westside High School 9th graders attended the GEAR UP SWV Commitment to Graduate at Woodrow Willson High School. Dr. Adolph Brown presented a phenomenal motivational speech that had our Renegades feeling loved and encouraged! ❤️ #GEARUPSWV #GEARUPworks #Renegadepride 🖤🩶🤍

Attention Westside High School and Feeder Schools- The WHS Homecoming Parade is scheduled for Thursday, October 2 at 5:30pm. To encourage and promote community participation, ALL Westside students and feeder schools will have a 3- hour early dismissal on Thursday, October 2. This includes- Road Branch Elementary & Middle, Glen Fork Elementary & Middle, Baileysville Elementary & Middle, Huff Consolidated, Berlin McKinney Elementary, Oceana Middle, and Westside High school.
