From August 7–14, you can make a difference by donating new school supplies that will go directly to local students in need. The bus will be parked in the board office parking lot. It will be unlocked from 9 AM to 3 PM daily. Every notebook, backpack, pencil, and box of crayons helps build confidence and sets a child up for success. Tuesday, May 26, 2026 Westside High School Baileysville Elementary and Middle School Bus 251, Buffy will not be running this evening. Parents will need to meet Becky, Bus 256 at the mouth of Long Branch. High School, 3:10pm Elementary and Middle School, 4:10pm.

Due to an unexpected maintenance issue, Baileysville Elementary and Middle School will be closed on Wednesday , May 6, 2026.

📢 Calendar Update for Wyoming County Schools While the West Virginia Department of Education approved our waiver request for four snow days, we did have one additional snow day after the waiver was approved (March 17, 2026). As a result, one day has been added to the end of our school calendar. 📅 Last day for students: June 3 📅 Last day for teachers: June 8 Thank you for your flexibility as we wrap up the school year!

Bond Project Update: Big things are happening at Baileysville Elementary & Middle School! This new secure entrance is another step toward enhancing safety and supporting a positive school environment for our entire community.

Exciting News for Wyoming County Students! Westside High School has been selected as a new Health Sciences & Technology Academy (HSTA) site. We are thrilled to begin recruiting 8th grade students who are interested in the health sciences, STEM, leadership, and hands‑on learning opportunities. HSTA is currently recruiting students from the following middle schools: • Oceana Middle • Road Branch • Huff Consolidated • Glen Fork • Baileysville Information packets will be provided to all 8th grade students over the next two weeks.

🎉 Great News for Wyoming County Schools!
The West Virginia Department of Education has approved our waiver request, meaning we will NOT have to make up four snow days this school year. 📅 The last day of school will remain June 2. What a day for Baileysville’s Hayden Belcher! 🏛️ Hayden, one of our 8th grade students had the opportunity to visit the state capitol for Domestic Violence Awareness Day — and got to witness history in action. For the first time ever, Hayden watched bills being introduced and even got to meet with delegates face to face. Experiences like this are exactly what learning looks like beyond the classroom walls.
